Okay. Look. I know they're gross enough that you don't really want to carry them around in your pocket, but does that mean you should just THROW THEM ON THE BEACH?! I found these two applicators about 20 feet apart at Sea Girt. Seriously, folks. Grow up.
I am not a "member" of ABC Wednesday, but it restarted its alphabet this week. And Photofriday's prompt today is "awful." With these two concurrent events in mind, I bring you the beginning of Snapshot Optimism's Photographic Alphabet! Stay tuned for ABC fun in upcoming months.

Hmm... judging by this post, I have a guess what you could use for C. ;)
(And as bad as it is to find certain things in the street, at least people are expected to be wearing shoes when they walk there. Whereas it is pretty common to go barefoot at the beach. Some would say that is one of the very attractions of the beach. The things you can find on Jersey beaches, though, have driven some people I know keep their shoes on, even in the sand.)
No matter what I found on the beach--unless I stepped on a used hypodermic needle that actually did puncture my skin, which, considering the thickness of my callouses, would be no small feat--I'd still go barefoot.
Walking on the beach with shoes is just unpleasant. Getting sand in your shoes just nullifies any enjoyment you might be getting from the whole beach experience.
(Mind you, I received both my high school diploma and bachelor's degree while barefoot. I'm a fan of walking around sans shoes.)
I left a comment elsewhere as well... but, for what it is worth, I love the color here... especially in the sand... it works...
