I don't find it at all boring. I also don't find it at all Vulcanic or bready, despite the light shining through holes, but it's nonetheless cool. In fact, it's worthy of being the subject of a Jonathan Coulton song, if you ask me.

I like it. Very simple, which a lot of the times is the best way to get a result from a photo. Once again, you nailed a great macro shot.

John- I have to admit, I'm not actually a Jonathan Coulton fan--and I will correct the spelling within the post--but a friend sent me a link to that song, and despite my apathy for the general tune, it's been replaying over and over in my head for a few days.

Adam- I'm a big fan of minimalism. This is partly because I can't figure out how to make more complex things work. ;)
