self portrait and brain photo

Man oh man. I had my first gross anatomy exam last Wednesday. It was 60% of our grade. Holy shit.

But I passed! I didn't rock it, but it's gross anatomy. I'll take what I can get.

I wish I could spend a while defrying my brain, but I need to work on a few big art-type projects that I was putting off 'til the exam was over. Rrrrrrgh.

Welllllllllllll, nobody said this would be easy, right? :)

Thankful for: support, no matter how unearned it may be

This picture rocks.

And you deserve all the support you get. You've certainly earned mine.

typically, i think that double-exposure/layered images don't work... this, however, does...

John- "Deserve" is a strong word. But thank you. :)

m- In general, I think the style/genre is a little like Photoshop gradients--they're fine if they're used well, but it's really difficult to use them well. I tried a few other double-exposure/transparent images, and none of them worked.

P.S. It's good to hear from you--and thanks for the comment.

I agree it's a strong word. I was trying to express a strong sentiment. :)

I like this quite a bit. To be honest I think it works because it doesn't look like a overlay of layers. It looks like a reflection but at an angle that really shouldn't be possible. : )
