I know that close-up fetus-kittens in a jar is exactly what everyone was expecting to see when they clicked on whatever link brought them to this page.
If it wasn't, just try to appreciate the fragile beauty of death.
And spay/neuter your cat.

I like it. I find it unpleasant to look at, and more than a little disturbing, but there's more to this world than flowers, sunsets, and fungus. I think it's a worthwhile shot to have taken and shared. So thank you.
interesting, ms j... a real departure from your normal work...
oh... i thought you might find this interesting...

First time I saw this, I thought that the title was "Jared," the person's name. The fetus makes me think of this episode of Firefly involving the fetus of, I believe, a pig.
John- :)
Thank you.

1. Is it really that different from my usual work? It's a macro to the point where the subject is somewhat abstracted... it's got some lighting that I found interesting... I mean, it's only a little more morbid than I usually go, isn't it?
2. I find that very interesting, actually. I know it's a well-photographed piece of architecture, but, y'know, I'm getting a little homesick, and it kind of made me say, "Oh. Hey."
Batman- I regret to say I have not seen that episode.
Batman is probably referring to an episode called "The Message." According to the back of the DVD case, it was never aired.
Right at the beginning, it features a mutated cow fetus in a (huge) jar, being passed off as proof of alien life in a carnival sideshow.
Oh! THAT one! Of the three episodes of Firefly I've seen--all about two years ago--I think I have seen that one.
Beyond that point, I don't remember if the plot involved a dead guy in a box who wasn't really dead, or if it was the escort-girl getting into fights with captain-guy about her clients, or what.
The words I'm typing here are probably outright heresy to fans of the show.
It's true Firefly fans can be rabid, but they are also extremely few in number. I suspect they'd be happier that you've seen the show at all than unhappy that you can't remember which details belong to which episodes.
("The Message" involved the dead guy in a box.)
well, the content is part of the difference... it is morbid... the more striking difference (at first glance) is the lack of color... you like color and this doesn't have it... oh, and the flat picture plane stands out, too...
